Timeout expired

While downloading a 100,000 records it stopped at approximately 10% giving the error below

"Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding."

I tried to change the connectiontimeout proberty but it says that it is "ReadOnly"

Are you using ASP.NET?

Increase the timeout value of ASP.NET.
Try zip the file before download.

try to add a value of timeout in connection string.

Example:
server=localhost;user=root;pwd=1234;database=test;timeout=120;
The above string will allow the MySQL to stay connected for as long as 120 seconds.

it works , but for MySQL connection its "default command timeout=120" , I changed it and its fine

Hi, the default value is 15 seconds.
